Your Identity & Calling \u2013 A Word to Ministers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lately, I\u2019ve been reflecting on the incredible weight and privilege of the call to ministry. For those of us who have been set apart to preach and shepherd God\u2019s people, the call is not something we choose\u2014it\u2019s something God places on our lives. And once He does, it never goes away. Paul reminded us in Romans that \u201cGod\u2019s gifts and His call are irrevocable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But as I\u2019ve learned over the years, the challenge is not just receiving<\/em> the call\u2014it\u2019s learning how to live it out day by day. Ministry is not about recognition, numbers, or applause. It\u2019s about serving before leading, preaching God\u2019s Word with faithfulness, caring well for our families, walking in integrity, and loving the flock God has placed in our care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are moments when the weight feels heavy\u2014times when discouragement whispers, or trials press in. But I\u2019ve also found that in those moments, God draws us back to the altar where He first called us. He reminds us that our worth is not in ministry \u201csuccess\u201d but in Christ alone, and that the finish line is not applause, but hearing Him say, \u201cWell done, good and faithful servant.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My hope is that it will help you anchor yourself again in the essentials\u2014servanthood, holiness, perseverance, and Spirit-dependence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Closing Prayer<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Lord, thank You for calling me into Your service. Help me to serve before I lead, to preach with faithfulness, to love my family and Your people well, and to walk with integrity before You. Help me learn to anchor my worth and my value in Christ alone. Give me strength to persevere in my life and calling — and help me, that I may finish well. May every part of my ministry reflect You and always point people to Jesus. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
