This past week marked the culmination of a significant chapter in my personal and ministerial journey—a two-year project focused on reviewing and rewriting the bylaws for our ministry organization. As I sit today in a quiet moment of reflection, I’m struck by the immense sense of relief and gratitude I feel.

Reflection is powerful. It anchors us, helps us appreciate how far we’ve come, and strengthens us for the road ahead.

During these two years, I coalesced an incredible team of dedicated individuals who invested countless hours, prayer, and effort into shaping the future of our ministry. Together, we wrestled with tough questions, sought clarity, and ultimately crafted a set of bylaws that we believed would strengthen and guide our organization forward. Then came the phase of traveling across our state, communicating the “why” behind the “what.” It was challenging yet rewarding.

This past week, as we gathered as a ministry to formally consider the adoption of our new bylaws, I experienced a deep sense of joy and gratitude as the decision was adopted unanimously. The unity and willingness displayed by our ministry colleagues were humbling and affirming.

Yet, as much as reflection is essential, our journey doesn’t end here. Reflection gives us perspective and gratitude, but it also propels us forward. Tomorrow, I’ll step into the next stage—redeveloping our Network Operations Manual and Financial Manual. A fresh challenge awaits, and with it, new opportunities for growth and impact.

I’m reminded of a powerful insight from John C. Maxwell: “Celebrate successes briefly, then move on to the next challenge” (taken from X, formerly Twitter).

So today, I pause to celebrate and reflect—but tomorrow, I move forward with intention and anticipation, trusting in God’s continual guidance.

Reflect today, friends—but let’s keep our eyes on the horizon. Greater things are ahead.
