October is here, and with it comes Pastor Appreciation Month! I’m thankful we set aside this month to recognize and say thank you to the pastors who faithfully serve our churches and communities (especially those in South Carolina).
Having spent my entire life in a pastor’s home (first my dad’s and then my own), I can tell you there’s so much that pastors do that often goes unnoticed. Week after week, they preach God’s Word, love God’s people, care for families, lead in ministry, and faithfully serve their churches and communities.
So, to all the pastors across our South Carolina Ministry Network, THANK YOU FOR YOUR MINISTRY! You are valued! Lori and I are grateful for you and your families. We believe in your calling, appreciate all that you do, and count it a privilege to serve alongside you!

And to those who are blessed to be part of a local church, take a moment this month to let your pastor know how much they mean to you. Encourage them. Pray for them and their family. Tell them you love them and let them know you’re thankful for their ministry. Sometimes a simple word of encouragement can make all the difference!
