It’s summer, y’all. And that means, it’s camp season!
Lori and I had an amazing time gathering with several hundred South Carolina students and leaders at our SC Assemblies of God Youth Camp. It was incredible. This was the third week of camp…and it may have been the best yet! Honestly, they just seem to get better and better.
I also had the privilege of speaking in their chapel yesterday. I talked about “Following the Voice!” — learning to hear, trust, and follow God’s lead. It was so much fun…and the students were so engaged. I left deeply encouraged. More than that, I left with renewed confidence in the future, because of their love and passion for Jesus.
When you see students worshiping, praying, listening, responding, laughing, serving, and leaning into what God is doing in their lives, it impacts you! It reminds you that GOD’S NOT FINISHED! He’s still speaking. He’s still calling. And He’s at work, raising up another generation to follow Him with passion and boldness.
In Johns 10, Jesus said,
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” — John 10:27
That’s what I saw this week. Students listening. God moving. So yes, I’m deeply confident that we have a reason to rejoice. Because greater things are yet to come. And, Jesus is still at work in the lives of His people.
